WWE Backlash is an annual professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment, which started in 1999 and is held normally in April (with the exception of 2005). From 2004 to 2006, the event was exclusive to the raw brand.

The 2007 event was the first PPV since Judgment Day 2003 (other than the "Big Four" PPV events) to feature all three brands (Raw, SmackDown! and ECW) after WWE from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia stopped presenting brand-exclusive events.

Backlash often features rematches from Wrestle Mania, or matches based on events that took place at Wrestle Mania, hence the name.
