Garman

Garman GPS by Wayne MacLean
Garman GPS is really Garmin GPS. Definitely, Garmin has become the most recognized name in the manufacture of consumer GPS products. Their name appears to have become one and the same with the GPS product. The company has an exceptional history for producing quality and adaptable GPS units.
When Garmin began their goal was simple. Their goal was to create tools to make navigation by people as simple as possible. The GPS products that they have created are used for outdoor enjoyment, aviation, fitness, automotive, and marine purposes. Each category provides numerous options to suit your needs and financial budget.
One example of text to speech functionality is on the Garmin StreetPilot c340. This function provides the option of operating hands free so you do not have to take your eyes off of the road. This allows you to keep your focus where it should be. On the road. There is no need to look at the display as you hear all the information that you need.
Operating like this allows you to hear instructions such as “Turn left at next intersection” well ahead of time so you can react smoothly to the instruction. A great plus when you are traveling in a strange city, and are running late for an appointment. You an also receive up to the minute traffic information to help avoid traffic jams, or construction re-routing allowing you to reach your destination faster and safer.
You can also get a unit that will update satellite weather data that has colorful maps and can provide warnings on potentially threatening weather. Although we have barely scratched the surface of the automotive offerings, there is so much more that Garmin has to offer. Being customer focused they have created products with simple menus, options that are logical, and instinctive features.
Whether you call it Garman or Garmin they have:
Automotive products to assist drivers get where they are going easily while enjoying the journey.
Marine units that complement your detailed charts with other important information.
Aviation units that provide technology to provide pilots with at-a-glance, accurate information.
Fitness tools that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of your workout. Hikers, geocachers and campers enjoy the ability to retrace routes and save routes already traveled for future use.
And even wireless applications that provide GPS capabilities to your smart phone.
Check out the options available from Garmin. They have whatever you are looking for. And who knows what they will create next?

Growing Up Ugly: A Story of Finding Beauty Within $10.99 “I fantasized about people loving me and standing in line to be my friend. I waited to become a swan. Growing Up Ugly is a moving memoir about coming of age and realizing the beauty in this life we are all searching for is within our grasp. Join author Donetta Garman as she drifts in and out of consciousness after suffering a stroke and recalls some of the events in her unusual but loving childhood. After a traumatic birth, Donetta was left homely, clumsy, and awkward. Growing up, she learned to cope with being ugly by laughing at herself and trying to help hold the family together. While her family climate was dysfunctional, the cohesiveness of it was undeniable, and Garmans story is infused with the intense love and resilience of a peculiar but fiercely devoted family. With the help of her family, children, husband, friends, and God, Donetta finds that beauty really is only skin deep and there is a swan just waiting to escape in all of us.” |

The Rare And The Beautiful $9.29 Like the better-known Mitfords the Garman sisters took center stage in Bohemian London during the first half of the twentieth century. Beautiful flamboyant and headstrong they broke away from middle-class conventions seducing and inspiring a generation of artists. Kathleen an enigmatic artist’s model and aspiring pianist was the lover and later wife of controversial American-born sculptor Jacob Epstein. Mary married the maverick poet Roy Campbell whose verse attack on the Bloomsbury group following Mary’s affair with Vita Sackville-West was the literary scandal of the epoch. Lorna the youngest and most beautiful of the sisters was the lover of both the painter Lucian Freud and the poet Laurie Lee. The Rare and the Beautiful offers the first portrait of a beguiling band of eccentric siblings who possessed an uncanny ability to turn heads break hearts and spark creative genius. Set against the exciting backdrop of London’s decadent subculture it evokes their extraordinary milieu of high culture drama and scandal. |

Living the Word $18.99 “Living the Word is a devotional commentary and a practical guide to finding happiness through obedience to God’s Word regardless of life’s circumstances. It walks with the psalmist verse by verse through each of the 22 stanzas of Psalm 119 as he struggles to live for God in a hostile world. It sits with him in the dust of despair, joins him in the school of affliction and sings with him as he celebrates the wonders of God’s Word. The psalmist was persecuted and oppressed by wicked men. He was often discouraged and sometimes depressed, yet he always found joy and comfort in God’s perfect and eternal Word. Living the Word captures the psalmist’s love for God’s Word and challenges the reader to make it his own. It journeys with him across the mountains and valleys of his earthly pilgrimage, and distills his wisdom into practical applications for daily living. Kelsey Garman has studied and taught the Bible for nearly 60 years. He has been a pastor; an advertising and public relations executive; a newspaper reporter and columnist; a freelance magazine and newspaper writer with hundreds of articles to his credit, and a Christian financial advisor. He is the founder of the Fellowship of Christian Investors, and served as its president for 21 years. During that time he was the voice of the daily radio broadcast “Financial Insights,” and conducted financial seminars in churches throughout America. He retired in 2004 and now serves as editor of the Faith in the Ozarks page and writes a financial column for the Community Free Press in Springfield, Missouri. Mr. Garman attended Oklahoma Baptist University and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, and did additional post graduate studies at theUniversity of Central Arkansas, Liberty University and the College of Financial Planning.” |
