David Michael Bautista, Jr. was born in January 18, 1969 in Arlington, Virginia. He was better known as Dave Batista or by the ring name Batista, as an American professional wrestler. Recently Dave Batista signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), wrestling on its raw brand. Dave Batista is a three-time World Heavyweight Champion and the winner of the 2005 Royal Rumble match.

In an interview Dave Batista stated that he was born in 1969. In his autobiography he confirmed that Dave Batista Unleashed. He is of Filipino and Greek heritage. Dave Batista’s father, David Michael Bautista, is Filipino and his mother, Donna Raye Bautista, a lesbian, is Greek. His grandparents were also from the Philippines as his grandfather served in the military, worked as a taxi driver, barber, and other odd jobs to feed the family. Batista says he is not ashamed to admit he came from a poor family.

Career Batista tried out at the WCW Power Plant but was told he would never make it in the wrestling business by Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker. Dave Batista then went to the WWF who sent him to train with Afa Anoa'i's school in the Wild Samoan Training Centre.
